Our principals have decades of experience helping companies meet critical milestones for success.

Currently, our primary focus is on assisting entrepreneurs who have launched search funds. We provide capital and services during both the search and acquisition phases of the search fund process. Our close affiliation with Peterson Partners and the entire search fund network, enables us to help arrange acquisition capital for larger transactions.

Our History

Our roots go back to the mid-1980’s when Joel Peterson began making investments in early-stage / smaller companies. That business grew and evolved into Peterson Partners, a private equity firm focused on partnership opportunities with profitable, growing companies with revenues greater than $10 million. While Joel spent significant time building the private equity business, he continued to make angel investments in companies outside the scope of Peterson Partners (search funds, seed / early-stage companies, etc.). This prior ad hoc investing was formally organized in 2008 as Peterson Ventures, which is separate from Peterson Partners in operations and focus, but continues the core values of partnering with outstanding entrepreneurs to build great companies.
