Our History
Our roots go back to the mid-1980’s when Joel Peterson began making investments in early-stage / smaller companies. Joel and his partner, Jordan Clements, soon turned this business into Peterson Partners, a private equity firm focused on partnership opportunities with profitable, growing companies with revenues greater than $10 million. While Joel spent significant time building the private equity business, he continued to make angel investments in companies outside the scope of Peterson Partners (search funds, seed / early-stage companies, etc.). Joel recently organized this prior ad hoc investing into JCP Capital, which is entirely separate from Peterson Partners in operations and focus.
